As you may have noticed, both Cargill and Rollins were absent from TV this week. Wearing my ‘fan’ hat a sec – why on earth would Cargill and The Baddies be booked to beat the heavily featured ‘strange bedfellows’ babyface team of Flair/Bliss/Paxley last week, only to not be featured this week? I appreciate SmackDown was pretty stacked, but it still seems a bizarre decision. Anyway, ‘analyst’ hat back on, and in that vein, here’s some brief ideas on what absence after a victory could signify (previously, we’ve only seen absences following defeats):
- Celebrating to excess – which would play into Cargill’s arrogance.
- Strategising next steps – there was mention of Cargill’s strategic side during Sunday Night’s Main Event, but her physicality is usually prominent (NB: the WWE should tread more carefully re these kind of racial stereotypes IMO).
