Part 1: Celebrity, Constructed Reality, Parasocial Relationships
Hi Reader! Finally, as promised, the first part of my video essay on the 2005 Love Triangle is here. I made this using CapCut. It’s the second video I’ve made in this way, so I’m still very much learning. I can see in the uploading, a couple of minor issues have emerged, but they don’t get in the way of the analysis. Just bear in mind I’m learning all the time.
For transparency, the only use of AI was editing out my speech pauses, and in helping me design a video cover (thumbnail). The rest is all my own painstaking work, which is based on my academic research, though here the academic aspect is toned down, and I’m looking to connect with a wider audience.
Coming soon will be part 2, in which I’ll analyse two different segments that were shown on WWE TV at the time, as well as examine the time between the end of the Love Triangle and Lita’s 2006 retirement. This should be with you within the next couple of weeks.
